Jackson is a video programmer, designer, and educator based in NYC.
They work in concerts, on and off Broadway, regionally, and internationally—creating and supporting media and projection design for live performance. They also engineer video systems for live events and virtual production stages.
Credits include Unity, Dead and Company, Eagles, Phish – Sphere; Once Upon a One More Time – Broadway; Monsoon Wedding – Off-Broadway and International; Peter Pan, Fraggle Rock Live – National Tour; We Live in Cairo – Off-Broadway; and Thoughts of a Colored Man – Broadway.
Jackson has also programmed for Netflix specials, XR/VP stages, and regional theaters across the country. Venues include Sphere, YouTube Theater, Lincoln Center, Allegiant Stadium, Guthrie Theater, American Repertory Theatre, New York Theatre Workshop, Amazon Photo Studio, and others.
Jackson views design as a dramaturgical endeavor.
They believe every choice matters, and that every link in the chain—from content creation to systems engineering—makes a meaningful contribution to storytelling. Their toolkit includes Disguise, RenderStream, TouchDesigner, Unreal Engine, Resolume, QLab, ETC Eos, After Effects, and Vectorworks—but storytelling always comes first. Jackson also knows his way around a broadcast control room.
Jackson holds an M.F.A. in Live Design and Production (Integrated Media) from The University of Texas at Austin. They hold a B.A. in Digital Media Arts from Hamline University in Saint Paul, MN.
